Google Chrome Stable 23.0.1271.64 Standalone (Offline) Installer for Windows, Linux and Mac

Google Chrome, One of the fastest and secure browser from Google, has been released version 23.0 to the stable channel. Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier.
Chrome offers lightning fast and safe browsing, private browsing, plugins to make browsing easier, sync with other devices to access your settings anywhere and more features.  Chrome is an open source browser available for Windows, Linux, Mac, Chrome Frame, Android and iOS.  Screen readers like Jaws and NVDA is accessible with Chrome.

“The Chrome team is excited to announce the release of Chrome 23 to the Stable Channel. 23.0.1271.64 for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome Frame. Chrome 23 contains a number of new features including GPU accelerated video decoding on Windows and easier website permissions.”

New Features:

  • GPU accelerated video decoding on Windows:
Dedicated graphics chips draw far less power than a computer's CPU, so Using GPU-accelerated video decoding while watching videos can increase battery life significantly. In our tests [1], the battery lasted 25% longer when GPU-accelerated video decoding was enabled.
  • Easier website permissions:
You’ll also find it much easier to view and control any website’s permissions for capabilities such as geolocation, pop-ups, and camera/microphone access. This saves you from having to dig through settings pages to find these permissions. Now, simply click on the page/lock icon next to a website’s address in the omnibox to see a list of permissions and tweak them as you wish.
  • Do not track:
This latest release also includes an option to send a “do not track” request to websites and web services. The effectiveness of such requests is dependent on how websites and services respond, so Google is working with others on a common way to respond to these requests in the future.

Security fixes and rewards:

Occasionally, we issue special rewards for bugs outside of Chrome, particularly where the bug is very severe and/or we are able to partially work around the issue:
