Govt. Odisha, Bhubaneswar Advertisement for AD-HOC appointment for the post of Junior Lecturers (+2) and Lecturers (College Branch)(+3) in different disciplines of Junior Colleges and Degree Colleges of Odisha respectively under the Higher Education Department. Applications in prescribed form are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Junior Lecturers under the Higher Education Dept., Govt. of Odisha on ad-hoc basis and for the post of Lecturers in different disciplines of Degree Colleges, under the Higher Education Dept., Govt. of Odisha on adhoc basis.

Vacancy Details:

• Junior Lecturers : 272 posts (74 posts for Women) (ST-60, SC-42, SEBC-31, UR-189) (PWD-08) (XSM-07)
  Blind: Economics-01, English-01, History-01, Political Science-01, Psychology-01.
  Partially Deaf: Botany-01, Odia-01.
• Lecturers : 352 posts (105 posts for women) (ST-82, SC-54, SEBC-42, UR-174) (PWD-12) (XSM-12, Sports-05)
  Blind: Odia-01, Political Science-01, Sanskrit-01,
  PWDs: Anthropology-01, Botany-01, Chemistry-01, Commerce-02, Physics-01, Psychology-01, Zoology-01, Computer Science-01.

Eligibility:

• Age: 21-32 years for Junior lecturers and 21-40 years for Lecturers as on 01.01.2013 (Relaxation of upper age limit is applicable as per rules)
  Educational Qualification:
• A candidate should possess a Master’s Degree in the concerned subject from a recognized University with at least 55% marks in aggregate OR its equivalent grade.
• Provided that candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall possess a Master’s Degree in the concerned subject from a recognized University with at least 50% of marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
• 5% of marks wherever minimum percentage of marks in aggregate in any examination is prescribed shall be allowed to the physically handicapped persons for their eligibility for appointment to posts and the services under Govt. reserve for them (vide G.A. Dept. Resolution no.-16443/Gen/24th July, 1978).
• For Lecturers: National Eligibility Test(NET)shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Lecturer for those with post-graduate degree, but, the candidates having Ph.D. degree shall be exempted from NET requirement.

Application in the prescribed format along with required attachments should be sent to the Director, Directorate of Higher Education, Odisha, Heads of Department Building , Bhubaneswar, Dist-Khurda, Odisha” only by Speed Post/ Regd. Post so as to reach on or before 30.11.2013 by 5 pm. Delivery in other means will not be accepted. The envelope containing the application form for the post of Junior
Lecturer in Junior Colleges must be super scribed “Application for the
Post of Ad-hoc Junior Lecturer in the discipline of ______________in Govt. Junior College”. And The envelope containing the application form for the post of
Lecturer in Degree Colleges must be super scribed “Application for the Post of Ad-hoc Lecturer (College Branch) in the discipline of
______________” in Degree College”.
